The programme includes an informational briefing lecture, where guests are given knowledge about bear biology, ecology and behaviour. Information about the habituation of bears to humans is given – explaining in detail why we never fed and why food is never dumped in the forest.
The programme runs from April to October.
Programme description:
- Information lecture.
- Guided hike through the bear habitat looking for tracks of different wild animals.
- Visit a pasture or beehive near the forest and talk about human-bear coexistence.
- Visit of the Bear Friendly Label ambassador.
- In the evening, bear watching from wildlife watching hide, accompanied by a hunter.
Ideas for activities:
- Make your own plaster cast of a bear’s footprint.
- Bears rub their scent on marking trees. Try to find a tree and scratch your back.
